Editorial policy
How we stay independent, which sources we use and how we correct mistakes.
Short answer
Our scores and reviews cannot be bought. Commissions and advertising fund the site, paid list positions are labelled "Ad", and every fact is checked against a primary source such as a regulator's register.
Independence
Gambling Hero is financed by commissions from some casino operators and by clearly labelled advertising. This funding never influences a score, a review text or the result of a licence check. Operators cannot buy a positive review, a better score or the removal of criticism. Paid placements in lists are possible and are always labelled “Ad” or “Featured · Ad”.
Sources
We prefer primary sources: regulators’ registers and publications, laws and official guidance, the casino’s own terms, and the game providers’ published data. Every country page and regulator page lists its sources and the date of our last check.
What we never do
- We do not invent tests, ratings, payout times or player reports.
- We do not hide licence data or the countries a casino excludes in its terms; both are shown on every review.
- We do not address minors and do not present gambling as a way to earn money.
Use of AI tools
We use software, including AI tools, to collect data, draft texts and check calculations. Every published fact is checked against its source by our editorial team, and the team is responsible for every page.
Corrections and complaints
If something on this site is wrong or outdated, write to info@media-echo.de. We correct errors promptly and note substantial corrections on the page. Operators can request a correction of factual data with evidence; they cannot request changes to our assessment.
Images
We use stock photos with a licence that allows commercial use, our own screenshots from tests, and casino logos only where the operator has given permission.
