Best online casinos

Our highest scored casinos with a verified licence. The availability check shows which of them accept players from your country.

Short answer

The best online casino for you is the highest scored one that is licensed for your country and accepts your payment method. Scores combine licence strength, fairness of terms, payments, games, support and player protection, and payment from operators never changes them.

The ranking below shows the 20 casinos with the highest score in our database. Every one of them holds a licence we found in the regulator’s public register, and all were scored with the same published formula, so a higher position means stronger licence protection, fairer terms or better payments, not a bigger payment to us.

Before you compare scores, run the availability check for your country. The best casino on paper is no use if it does not accept players where you live or does not support your payment method.

How we choose

Only casinos with a licence we verified in the regulator's register are ranked. Casinos with unresolved complaints about unpaid withdrawals are excluded. Read the full method.

How we rank the best online casinos

Our list of the best online casinos is the top 20 of our database by score, and every score comes from one public formula applied to each casino in the same way. Six criteria are scored from 0 to 10 and combined into a weighted average, rounded to one decimal.

Criterion Weight What moves the score
Licence and safety 30 % Strength of the regulator, licence found in the official register, sanctions
Fairness of terms 20 % Wagering level, cashout caps on deposit bonuses, clauses that allow winnings to be voided
Payments 20 % Stated withdrawal processing time, number of payment methods, fees and limits
Games 10 % Number of disclosed providers, live casino, RTP information
Support 10 % Live chat availability, opening hours, quality of written answers
Player protection 10 % Deposit, loss and session limits, reality checks, cooling-off, self-exclusion

The sub-scores follow fixed rules. For example, bonus wagering of up to 10x scores 9 on terms while wagering above 45x scores 3.5, and a stated withdrawal processing time of up to 24 hours scores 9 on payments. The complete rule set is on our page about how we rate online casinos, so you can recalculate any score yourself.

Why the licence carries the most weight

The licence decides what happens when something goes wrong, which is why it accounts for 30 % of the score. A strong regulator enforces player protection rules, investigates operators and gives players an independent route for disputes.

In Great Britain, for example, a player who is not satisfied with how a casino handled a complaint can take it to an alternative dispute resolution provider after eight weeks; the UK Gambling Commission describes this as a free, independent service. Light-touch licences offer far less in such cases. Our licence sub-score therefore rates regulators in tiers, and every licence in the ranking links to its register entry.

How to use the ranking to choose a casino

The highest score is a starting point, not the answer for everyone: the best online casino for you is the highest-ranked one that is licensed for your country and pays out to the method you use. A practical order of checks:

  1. Country: confirm the casino accepts your country and check the online gambling laws in your country.
  2. Payments: make sure your deposit method can also receive withdrawals. Our payment method pages show which casinos support each one.
  3. Withdrawal time: look at the stated processing time and whether it comes from the terms or from our own test.
  4. Bonus terms: compare wagering, not headline amounts. If you want an offer that is realistic to clear, start with low wagering bonuses.
  5. Sub-scores: open the review and see where the casino lost points. A casino with a lower total may still suit you better if it is strong in the areas you care about.

What the ranking does not do

The ranking reflects documented data, not promises about future behaviour. Scores change when we re-check licences and terms, and immediately when a regulator announces sanctions.

Commercial relationships never change a score. They can only change a casino’s position in a list, and paid positions are always labelled “Ad”. Casinos with unresolved complaints about unpaid withdrawals are excluded from the ranking, and casinos without a verifiable licence are not scored at all; they appear on our casino blacklist instead. A high score also says nothing about your chances of winning: every casino game has a house edge, so treat any deposit as money spent on entertainment and set a deposit limit before you start.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best online casino?

There is no single best online casino for every player. The right choice is the highest-scored casino that is licensed for your country, accepts your payment method and has terms you can live with. Our ranking orders licensed casinos by one public formula; the availability check then removes those that do not accept players from your country.

Are the best online casinos safe?

Every casino in the ranking holds a licence we verified in the regulator’s register, and casinos with unresolved complaints about unpaid withdrawals are excluded. That lowers the risk but cannot remove it. Licences differ in strength, so check which regulator supervises the casino and what dispute route it offers before you deposit larger amounts.

How often is the ranking updated?

The ranking updates automatically whenever a casino’s recorded data changes, for example after we re-check its licence, terms or withdrawal times. Each review shows the date of the last check. If a regulator announces sanctions against an operator, we re-check that casino immediately, which can move it down or remove it from the ranking.

Why is a casino with a big bonus ranked lower?

Bonus size is not part of the score. What counts is how fair the terms are: wagering requirements, caps on what you can cash out and clauses that let the casino void winnings. A large bonus with high wagering scores worse on fairness of terms than a small offer with low wagering, and that is reflected in the total score.

Can casinos pay for a higher position?

Casinos cannot buy a higher score. A commercial agreement can affect where a casino is placed in a list, but every paid placement is labelled “Ad” so you can tell it apart. The score, the sub-scores and the review text are produced with the same formula and evidence standard for every casino.
