Status of online casinos, the regulator, the minimum age and where to get help, with our sources and the date we checked them.
Short answer
No operator is licensed to offer online casino games in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines; offshore sites operate in an unregulated grey area. The minimum age to gamble is 18.
Legal overview
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines has no online gambling licence and no regulator for internet casinos, poker or sports betting. No statute dealing specifically with online gambling was found, and trade press describing the market reports that there is no gaming commission or iGaming licensing body. The legal gambling product that clearly operates locally is the state lottery run by the National Lotteries Authority in Kingstown, which sells draw games such as Lotto, Super 6, Play 4 and 3D and offers a lotto app.
The government has signalled that it wants to keep gambling revenue in state hands. In May 2025 the then Prime Minister said at a press conference that the authority generates more than 90 million Eastern Caribbean dollars a year and that his government was completely against foreign entities running lottery or gambling operations in the country, singling out slot machines. That statement concerned land-based and regional lottery plans and did not create any rules for online play.
For residents this leaves offshore online casinos in a grey area: they are neither licensed locally nor, as far as could be found, prohibited, and no blocking of foreign sites or prosecutions of players were identified. A company registered with the Financial Services Authority is not a gambling licence, even though some websites present such a registration as if it were one. Because no local authority supervises online operators, residents who play on foreign sites depend entirely on the licence and complaints process of the operator's own regulator.
