What is payout limit?
Definition and example from our casino glossary.
Definition
A payout limit caps how much a casino will pay out within a given period, such as per transaction, day, week or month.
Withdrawal or payout limits are set in the terms and can apply at several levels: a maximum per transaction, a daily, weekly or monthly cap, and sometimes a maximum win per round or bet. If you win more than the periodic limit, the balance is usually paid in instalments. A casino advertising high maximum wins but limiting payouts to a modest weekly amount may take months to pay a large sum, during which the balance remains exposed to the temptation to keep playing. Many terms waive limits for progressive jackpots, and loyalty accounts may have higher thresholds. Some operators reserve the right to cancel winnings above a cap entirely, which dispute bodies may consider unfair. Check the payout limit before depositing, compare it with the games' maximum wins, and ask support whether instalments continue if you stop playing.
