What is withdrawal pending?

Definition and example from our casino glossary.

Definition

Withdrawal pending is the status of a payout request that the casino has received but not yet approved and sent.

Most casinos process withdrawals in stages: requested, pending, approved and sent. During the pending phase the operator reviews the account, confirms that any bonus terms were met, verifies identity if this has not been done, and checks for fraud or money-laundering concerns. Some sites apply a fixed pending period, for example 24 to 72 hours. Delays beyond the published processing time usually have a cause: missing documents, a mismatch between deposit and withdrawal methods, a bonus dispute or a weekend backlog. Ask support in writing for the specific reason and an expected date, and keep the reply. If the request stays pending well beyond the stated time without a clear explanation, file a formal complaint and, if needed, escalate to the ADR body or the regulator named in the casino's licence. Avoid playing on with a pending balance while you wait.
