What is prepaid voucher?
Definition and example from our casino glossary.
Definition
A prepaid voucher is a code bought with cash or card that funds a casino deposit without sharing bank details with the casino.
Prepaid vouchers such as Paysafecard are bought in shops or online for fixed amounts and redeemed by entering a code in the casino cashier. They separate gambling spending from your bank account and impose a natural budget, since only the voucher value can be deposited. The main limitation is that vouchers are usually deposit-only. To withdraw, you will need another method, typically a bank transfer or an account with the voucher provider, which may involve additional verification. Some casinos exclude voucher deposits from bonuses, and fees may apply to unused voucher balances after a period. Voucher payments cannot be reversed if a code is handed to a fraudster. Never give a voucher code to someone who contacts you claiming to be a casino or support agent; legitimate operators only ask you to enter it yourself in the cashier.
