LSLGA licensed casinos

What the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority licence means for players, how to check it in the official register, and every casino in our database that holds it.

Tier 2

Short answer

The Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority regulates lotteries and gaming in Lagos State, Nigeria's largest gambling market. Its powers come from the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority Law, 2021, and it replaced an earlier lotteries board.

About the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority

Since a Supreme Court ruling of 22 November 2024, gambling in Nigeria is regulated by the individual states, so a Lagos licence does not by itself cover the whole country. The authority licenses online sports betting, online casino games, lotteries and remote gaming, and publishes a register of licensed operators with start and end dates. Players should check that a licence has not expired. The minimum age is 18. Every licensee must run a self-exclusion scheme with periods from 90 days to a lifetime, and the authority has introduced a shared self-exclusion platform. Operators must resolve complaints within three months and must tell players to refer unresolved cases to the authority. The authority can decide disputes over winnings, and players can use its online complaint form. Other states have their own regulators.

How to check a licenceCheck the LSLGA list of licensed operators, which shows each licence category with start and end dates; an operator whose end date has passed is not currently authorised until it renews. A Lagos licence covers Lagos State only, not all of Nigeria.
Complaints / ADRA Lagos licensee must resolve complaints within three months; if a complaint is not resolved within 90 days the operator must tell the player to refer it to the LSLGA. Either party can refer a dispute over winnings to the Authority, whose decision binds the parties unless appealed. Online complaint form: https://lslga.org/complaint/ (per gamblingmaps).
Player protectionMinimum age 18; wagers and winnings of underage players are void. Each licensee must run a self-exclusion scheme with an irrevocable period of 90 days to a lifetime and report excluded persons monthly; the LSLGA describes SAFEPLAY as a regulator-managed multi-operator self-exclusion platform. Operators deduct 5% withholding tax on net winnings (15% for non-residents).
