Definition
A reload bonus is a deposit match offered to existing customers on later deposits, usually smaller than the welcome offer.
After the welcome package, casinos use reload bonuses to encourage further deposits. Mechanically they work like any deposit match: a percentage of the deposit up to a maximum, with wagering, a max bet and an expiry. They may be tied to a weekday, a loyalty level or a bonus code, and some are shown only to selected accounts. Because the percentage is typically lower than on first deposits, the wagering terms decide whether a reload has any real value. A 25% reload with 40x wagering on deposit plus bonus can require far more turnover than the bonus is worth. Reload offers are also a marketing trigger timed to bring players back, so an unplanned deposit prompted by a reload notification is worth pausing over. If you use them, decide the deposit amount first, then check whether the offer fits, rather than the other way round.
