How deposits and withdrawals with USDT (Tether) work at online casinos, what they cost, and which casinos in our database accept it.
Short answer
USDT, issued by Tether, is the largest stablecoin: a crypto token designed to hold a value of one US dollar. For casino players, this removes the main drawback of other cryptocurrencies, which is price movement between deposit and withdrawal.
USDT is not a single blockchain. It exists on many networks, including Ethereum, Tron, Solana and TON, and the casino will say which ones it accepts. Sending USDT on the wrong network is one of the most common ways players lose funds, so the network must match exactly. Speed and fees depend on the network chosen, and some networks are quick and cheap. Tether has moved its head office to El Salvador and has said it does not hold regulatory approval in the European Union. Like other crypto assets, USDT is not permitted for licensed gambling in markets such as Brazil and Australia.
| Type | crypto |
|---|---|
| Company | Tether Limited (Tether Holdings El Salvador S.A. de C.V.) |
| Deposit speed | usually within minutes, depending on the network used (e.g. Tron, Ethereum, Solana) and required confirmations |
| Withdrawal speed | minutes to a few hours after casino approval (typical, varies) |
| Fees | Fees depend on the chosen network: transfers on Ethereum pay ETH gas, on Tron the network's resource fees, etc. Casinos may set minimums and their own fees. |
| Casino policy | USDT is supported on networks including Ethereum (ERC20), Tron (TRC20), Solana, TON, Avalanche and others; Tether has discontinued USDT on Omni, Bitcoin Cash SLP, EOS, Algorand and Kusama. Players must use the network the casino specifies. Crypto is prohibited for licensed betting in Brazil and banned for licensed online wagering in Australia. Tether has said it lacks regulatory approval in the EU. |
| Verification | KYC applies at exchanges and regulated casinos. |
