Visa casinos

How deposits and withdrawals with Visa work at online casinos, what they cost, and which casinos in our database accept it.

Short answer

Visa is the world's most widely accepted card network, and at online casinos it works through the debit, credit and prepaid cards issued by banks. A deposit is a normal card payment: you enter the card details, confirm with your bank's security check, and the balance usually shows up straight away.

How Visa works at casinos

Withdrawals go back to the same card. Many operators still take several business days, but some use Visa's push-payment service for faster payouts. Rules differ between markets. Great Britain, Australia and Brazil do not allow credit cards for licensed gambling, so players there need a debit card. Some banks also block gambling transactions by default or let customers turn on a block themselves. Casinos normally ask for proof that the card belongs to the account holder before the first payout. Visa is a convenient default, but it is not always the fastest way to get money out.

FeesCasinos rarely charge for card deposits. Card issuers may add foreign-transaction fees, and some issuers treat credit-card gambling payments as cash advances with extra fees and interest.
Casino policyCredit cards are banned for gambling with operators licensed in Great Britain (since 14 April 2020, including credit-funded e-wallet top-ups), for licensed online wagering in Australia (since 11 June 2024) and for licensed betting in Brazil (Ordinance 615). Debit and prepaid cards remain accepted in these markets. Some issuers block gambling transactions or let cardholders do so.
VerificationThe cardholder name must match the casino account. Before a first withdrawal, operators often ask for proof of card ownership, such as a photo with the middle digits covered, or a bank statement.
